To set up a limited company you must firstly choose the name of the company. This must end with Limited, not be the same name as one that already exists on the companies house register and it must not be offensive or include any sensitive words. 

Secondly you need to register at Companies House the company name and address, the company officers (directors and possibly secretary), the share capital and shareholder details. There is a one off fee for the incorporation service charged by Companies House.
